Rainbow. Sponges.
If you asked me what was the best thing ever invented, I would say something like toilet paper, or Dr. Pepper.
But this lady on youtube? She'd say... SPONGES!!

Don't be sad, Emo kid.
Last night, we went to "First Friday" with our friends Tanner and Mary. They had told us that the event was pretty much overrated, but that the gelato was good, so we decided to check it out.
The event was on several streets where "creative" people could express their music, art, and talents to the world, and it was highly crowded; I felt at times that I was trying to walk the strip in Vegas. There is a website about it here that kinda talks about it, but it makes it seem more cool than it really is.
Let's just say there were a lot of emo kids, hippies, and everything in between. I usually enjoy looking at people's artwork at such, but seriously about 98% was crap- not cool hippie crap, but just crap, that I can't believe anyone would buy.
But alas, the gelato WAS really good, and best entertainers of the night award goes toooo!!!!.....
These guys!
"The devil is defeated, everytime you shout it out" is what our soul sistas were saying, and our cool kids dancing for us.
We had the song stuck in our head when we were leaving.
Next month on first friday, we're going to have to determine of our sistas and the gelato are worth going back for....it'll be a tough decision.

Point and laugh
Shared by friend on facebookI saw this picture and thought it was pretty funny. I can't believe that people actually believed that the world was going to end yesterday? I'm really curious how those people spent their day. For me, it was just another day. Although, I do have to say that the looting aspect of the event WAS kind of tempting {we do want a TV after all} but alas we didn't give in.
Hope you had a great weekend!

unemployed and bored.
Being unemployed (playing the waiting and rejected game), not a student, and no children, means that you have a lot of time on your hands. I've gotten a little too much into blogging, and enjoy finding random blogs. I've been sharing funny things I've found via facebook with a friend from high school, and in return another friend suggested another blog to look at.
With the powers combined of the blog from my last post and this new blog, I have been lol'ing at my computer, a lot. I think in the last 24 hours, I have laughed more than I have in the last several weeks combined.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I would be genuinely surprised if you did not find at least one of the posts funny.

weird combination
Today I was going through the many ads and coupons I get in the mail, seeing if there was anything worth keeping. On top of the regular ones I get, I got a whole envelope FULL of coupons, so I went through them.
Unfortunately, there were too many of these-

Divorce and Bankruptcy ads/coupons. Sad.
But wait a minute...let's take a closer look at that pictures selection for this ad...

A guy with a bloody nose? Say what? Or maybe about to vomit? Not quite sure, but it looks like his soon to be ex-wife is concerned. (Maybe it'll work out after all)
Wow. You thought divorce or bankruptcy was bad enough, try adding a bloody nose on to that. {I HATE bloody noses! I'm pretty sure I drain my whole body when I have them}
I'm thinking this guy doesn't handle stress well, poor guy.
(Looks like the intern was in charge of this one.)

episode 3: awake.
...or is this episode 4? I'm not sure.
You all that have been reading my blog know, that Wolfgang likes to make funny conversations with me, when he's half asleep.
Well this time, he was well awake (or kind of) eyes open and all, after I tried waking him up from a nap. He wrestled around a little bit, waking up...looks at me, yada yada, then he says,
"Your room is ready"
Me: laughs, "oh honey, you're so funny"
W: "what?" (then I tell him what he just said to me) he looks right at me and says,
"your last name is Burton, right?" (says something little before that but I forgot what he says)
Me: snap my fingers at his face, (a little freaked out at this point) "Honey, it's me, wake up, you're starting to freak me out."
W: moans a little and says, "I dunno, I must be having a dream or something." Then turns and tries to go back to sleep.
Me: I let him, because I'm a little too weirded out!
That's what I get for him working for Marriott...good thing he has tomorrow off.

find, call, drive long distance, be disappointed, repeat.
Car shopping is SO MUCH FUN! I don't even know what to with myself, it's so much fun; I think the title of the post explains it all. Although there was a little bit of (real) fun in it yesterday:
-Make arrangements to see car, like car, get vin # from car
-pay carfax.com $35 to check up on history of car... dude not tell the truth...but dude clever to change back odometer! (Thank goodness for carfax! totally worth the investment)
-tell friend we're staying with and neighbors that are over what happened
-most kind and friendly neighbor wife says, "GIVE ME THE PHONE #, I'M CALLING THEM" but in a nice, yet firm voice.
-neighbor calls the dude, and speaks in very fast Spanish that I can't keep up with...dude hesitates on other line..." uh...uh...uh.....yeah, I'll tell my cousin, it's his car" (which, in fact, is NOT a lie)
-we giggle as she is on the line with this guy
-she gets off the phone and tells us how the conversation went, but I DO know she left something out that she said, something like, "don't screw with my American friends" or "you lied to my American friends" or something to that effect.
Fun day.

Snoring.
For some unknown reason, Wolfgang has decided to take up a new hobby: Snoring.
In Hawaii, I don't remember him snoring so much, so I don't know if that means he really didn't snore as much, or that I was just completely exhausted by the end of the day with school full-time and jobs, that I just didn't notice.
So, last night we had another funny little sleeping conversation
Me: (slightly shaking Wolfgang) "hon...hon...HON...Wolfgang..., you're snoring really loud"
W: "ich laub di" (ok, that's not real German, but that's what it sounded like)
Me: (chuckle) "what?"
W: "Oh, I just spoke German to you in English"
Me: (chuckle again...then really confused by the statement)..."huh?"
W: (kinda chuckles) "Oh, I just said 'thank you' in German"
Me: "Ha, ok...." silence. *light bulb* (wait a minute, I KNOW what 'thank you' is in German, and that was NOT it.)
These funny little sleeping conversations will never get old to me.

mmmm CAKE.
For weeks at a time, I don't take the time to check out Cake Wrecks even though it is on my blog list. But, on days like today when I actually do go and check it out, I'm never disappointed, and always end up laughing foolishly (a word?) to myself at my laptop.
Go ahead, try it for yourself!

Episode Two
Here is episode two to this post. :
Last night when I went to bed, Wolfgang was sound asleep. I thought I might have a little fun...
Me: "hun.....hun...??"
Wolfgang: (groan)
Me: (thinking of something) "Did you feed the cow today?"
Wolfgang: "yeah, its all good."
Me: "what did she say?" (apparently this is the best thing I could think of at that moment)
Wolfgang: (Something in German).
Me. (pause.)..."What did she say in English?"
Wolfgang: "Nothing."
It's time for those cows to learn some English.

Jack-o-what?
Not only is Wolfgang funny half- asleep, he's also pretty funny awake, too.

For those of you who watch the hilarious "Modern Family" tv show, you might appreciate this even more, after watching the episode from 2 weeks ago.
On Halloween, before making my traditional "Jack-o-lantern sloppy joes" (ever since we were little) with some friends, Wolfgang was trying to clarify the name, Jack-o-lantern.
He thought they were "Jack-o-Lennons"
Wolfgang: "you know, like the singer, right?"
Nope.
He can get away with it, because of the whole "English as a second language" excuse.
I'm considering making an additional blog, and only filling it with random quotes from him, but I'm thinking I would be the only one that thought it was funny.
Who knows, maybe I'll give it a try.
