So, have you ever started to write a question in a Google search, and before you even finish your sentence, it comes up with "suggestions?" Yeah, I have, and I find it very amusing.
Ok, how do these "suggestions" come up?? Has a large amount of people actually asked those questions on Google?
Let me share with you my experience, just moments ago. Here's how my question started out...
"How long does it take to..."
Google eagerly finishes my sentence (these were some of my favorites):
"....get pregnant?"
"...get weed out of your system?"
"...get a six pack?"
Unfortunately, I didn't ask any of the above, BUT, I appreciate the effort, Google.

"Good News Moment"
In some of my past wards in church, the leaders in our relief society meeting would leave a few minutes to the congregation to share any "good news" that happened in the last week. On many occasions it would be kind of annoying and pointless information that the other women felt like sharing (because they couldn't think of anything else exciting in their life for that week), but sometimes it actually would be interesting and exciting news, followed by some "Oooo"'s and "ahhh" 's or "yay!" with some accompanied clapping.
Although these moments were awkward at times, sometimes I miss them a little.
Anyway...
If you were to ask me my "Good News" from the weekend, I would tell you this:
1) Beach time with Wolfgang
2) Being invited over to our friend's house for some delicious food and hours of laughing and talking (and watching one of our favorite movies)
3) Got a phone call today and getting the JOB that I wanted really bad. I'm pretty excited about it. I will be working in the International Student Services office, helping students with their Visas, Green Cards (sound familiar?) and the like. Finally I'll be doing something that is related to my major!
Now the hard part is telling my current boss I won't be working as many hours for her anymore...I always feel bad about bringing the bad news, especially after they have treated me so well at my job. BUT, that's life!

Going bald for a cause
this is a MUST read- this is a girl that I know from back home, truly inspiring and so brave! I wish my head would look that good bald...

Fancy
Apparently there are not only Chinchillas and Love Birds, but there are also...
Fancy Chinchillas and Love Birds. What is that suppose to mean? No idea. Also while looking in comparison between the 'regular' love birds and fancy love birds, the f.l.b's were more colorful. Maybe I'll google it.
Also I was slightly jealous that Wolfgang got this
He feels pretty special. (Don't laugh at my Photoshop skills) Oh well, at least my AZ license doesn't expire for another 50 years or so.

Lessons by Victoria
After carrying this around (walking by myself, I may add)through the mall, on the public bus, and through most of Waikiki to meet up with Wolfgang for lunch, I learned an important lesson from my good friend (but she steals my money) Victoria.
I quickly learned that since this bag is anything but dull, conservative or unnoticeable, that one must carry it with great confidence. One must expect a possible smirk or two from men along your way, but not to be alarmed, just keep walking on by.
So ladies, go take advantage of the sale, and stand a little taller and walk with that bag with pride!

clueless

Not a day goes by that I think about where we'll end up after December. The nice thing about Wolfgang's major (Hospitality and Tourism Management), is that really we can go anywhere, because pretty much everywhere around the world you'll find rich people who want to spend lots of money.
For now, we have two different routes we might consider: either right away go somewhere reasonable and realistic, or maybe go somewhere fun for a short while before going somewhere and getting somewhat established (hm, a lot of "somes" in the last sentence.)
Current lists:
List 1 : Realistic List
-Stay here (actually this would probably fit better in the next list)
-Las Vegas - Wolfgang REALLY likes this idea, I like it because it would be close to family...that's about it. OH, and we could buy a place for cheap because the economy is so bad...it's a lose/win situation.
-AZ -not home, sorry mom and dad
-CO - I really like this idea, minus the awful cold...
List 2: Keep Dreamin' List
-Stay here
-South America - no specifics yet
-Tahiti - I REALLY hate the French, and their ugly language, so this could be a problem.
Well, I guess I'll just keep doing a lot of daydreaming, because we are a long way from knowing!

compliment or offensive?
First off, I would like to say that although I tend to complain about work a lot, I have to admit that my boss is the best boss I've ever worked for. Her and her husband own the franchise at the Subway that I work at, and they are just so kind and really care about the employees, and also very accommodating and generous.
With that said, my boss's husband (we'll call him "P") is very generous with giving us little 'bonuses,' and it will be as little as just showing up for work meetings, or just simply for the heck of it. (mind you, they are NOT wealthy from 'owning' Subway, and they live in a one bedroom home where their 3 or 4 children all live in the living room)
Today we had a work meeting, and once again P was very kind and gave us all some cash just for simply showing up. Also after the 'lecture' part of the meeting, P wanted to take a few minutes for himself. First, he gave cash to the employee that showed up first for the meeting, then he gave ME even more cash for being the "most improved" employee.
Ok, so that was really nice of him, and definitely he didn't need to do that, but...when you're the "most improved," I have mixed feelings about that title. In my head, I'm thinking that I just got"the-one-who-really-sucked-at-her-job-in-the-beginning-we-didn't-have-much-hope-but-then-you-finally-got-better" award. Isn't that what you think of when you think "most improved?" It's just a such a weird and awkward expression, I'm not quite sure if I can fully take it as a compliment, and maybe that is just me.
Oh well, most improved or not, I've got some extra cash in my pocket now, so I can't complain!

Sun Kissed
Another day, another sunburn. Tonight will be interesting, I'll see the full effect of my sunburn from today. For as anal as I am about sunscreen (thanks to my mom and especially dad) you wouldn't think I would be getting burned as often as I have been lately. I guess I need to be even more careful. What can I say? I just like being in the sun too much. At least I'm getting some Vitamin D.

Wish me luck
I feel like my eyes look exceptionally Asian today. Maybe this means that today when I go and bug the International Student Services office today (again, and again...) about giving me that job I applied for, that I'll have more chances than usual?
I guess I'll find out.
I guess I'll find out.

a mind of their own
Tweezing ( I usually say "plucking," but I have been told, "you pluck a chicken, you tweeze your eye brows!!!") my eye brows is quite the chore, and also an art.
getting my eye brows just perfect is quite difficult- if you mess up ONE, you're pretty much doomed. Thanks dad, for the werewolf eye brows.

Looking...
I'm feeling that it's about that time again that I find a new job. I think one little clue (of many) of why I need to find a new job, is that I want to cringe, and sometimes even cry when I'm not in work, and I hear advertisements on the radio, internet, and tv.
I truly never can get away from work, and that's not even including the fact that every single day that I have off, I am called at least once by someone at work; I've learned not to answer AND not to call back.
