Welcome home, darling.

Here is the outcome to our "big kid" decision I spoke of yesterday

Isn't she cute?!  She's got my Asian eyes. Except she's really Asian, and I'm not.

We love it and we love even more that we don't have to take the bus anymore! Oh, happy day.

"grown up"

Making "big kid" decisions is exhausting! I'm just about to take a nap while listening to my "Spa Suite Radio" station via Pandora, to help me calm down. Sleeping is one of my problem solvers. More to come later.

What's been up, and what's next.

I always seem to need to have some sort of event, big or small, to keep me going and motivated throughout the week.  I haven't quite figured out if this is a good or bad thing, but that's basically why my blog title is, "What's Next?" Because it fits me perfectly as to how I tend to look at things.

The last couple of weeks have been great, we've been able to do things here and there that have kept us sane during this busy and slightly chaotic work season.  Here are some things we've been up to.

Spring Training

 A couple of weeks ago we went to a spring training game with the Diamondbacks (Go DBacks!)  vs Cubs.  It was a gorgeous day, and it was a chill but fun game.  Wolfgang is officially American, because he had a hot dog at a baseball game!  So proud.  Next step for us is to go to a legit game.

Treat Yo' Self.

Never heard of it?  It's only from one of our favorite TV shows.  Let me clue you in:

So, we decided to have a "Treat Yo Self"  mini (sorta)stay-cation.
We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain for two nights; first night was free, second night on our employee rate, of course.  BAM!  It was fantastic. Not to mention, they had the best avocado fries, and buffalo tacos {salivating}

 During that little vacation, we also went to Saguaro National Park.  I just love them cacti!

Other festivities have included actually being social with friends and co-workers (woah, I know...)  and going wedding dress shopping with a friend of mine on several occasions, which was fun because I hadn't gone since it was me putting on all those dresses!

And now, the moment you've {I} have been waiting for, of what is to come in the {somewhat}  near future...{and sorry, to many of you, this isn't new news}
Flights are booked, and we are going to Austria for my brother-in-law's wedding in July, with a side detour of Wolfgang's old stomping grounds in England!!!

I'm so excited, I can hardly wait.  We'll be gone for about 2 1/2 weeks.  I've already got a list going of things we have to do, and things we should do while we are over there.  The Lonely Planet book of England has been very helpful, and seeing that I have a local informant for Austria, I don't have to do too much researching for that portion of the trip :)

I even loved  reading the confirmation email for our flights to/from Austria to England, because the English words and slang are different and cute.

Hope you are all doing well, and thanks for being patient with me as I figured out the new Blogger set-up, aka my laziness.

Change is not always good

I'm currently pretty annoyed by blogger's new set up that is not very Jaimie friendly, and that it now takes me twice as long to make a blog post (at least on my computer). I may be changing websites; I'll keep you posted.

{I was this close to having a good catch up post, too!}

Slacking

I've noticed lately that I have been somewhat slacking on blogging. Granted blogging on average once a week isn't bad either, but I still feel that it's less that I need to be. Fortunately/unfortunately for you, I somewhat treat my blog as a journal, partly because I have a terrrrrible memory, and I like to look back and see the different stages and events that I have enjoyed.

With that said, this last week or two has been pretty great, and I can't wait to document it. Wolfgang and I have been slightly better at taking advantage of doing fun things to get our minds and bodies away from work. In my next post or so, you can expect an update. May not be totally thrilling to you, but we are currently enjoying life. I also have great news that I'll share later, and NO it doesnt have anything to do with being impregnated, so calm down.

That one time I thought it was the end of the world.

Today on the bus on my way home from work, I thought to myself, "maybe I should exercise tonight." No more than 30 minutes later, I get a text message from my sorta-ex-co worker that reads,

"(Friend's name) thought you were pregnant"

In my head I had an "Aw hellll no/did I really look that bad in my work uniform the other day?!/This day is ruined/you've got to be kidding me/wow" {or something to that effect} moment.

I immediately asked how this came about, and found out it was actually because I had made a comment referring to the fact that I would probably be the only one not drinking an alcoholic beverage for a future "girls night."

Whew.

Think I'll still exercise tonight though.
