Yeeha.

I love animals.

I was the kid that would cry when watching the news; not from the death toll from a terrible natural disaster, but the clip they would show of the dog or cat stranded on the roof top, being rescued by a fireman, or the zebra being mutilated by a hungry lion. {sorry for the visual}

So when I found out Wolfgang's co-worker "Bogie" had horses, I was instantly ecstatic. I begged  ask Wolfgang to see if we could just come over sometime just so I could get my horse fix, and Bogie was kind enough, without hesitation, to say yes.

So yesterday we both had the day off, and we made it out to Bogie's place, or at least where him and his friends keep their horses.  It was pretty low key- I told him all I really wanted to do was pet and feed his horse, and I would be completely satisfied.  Well, we fed "Rowdy" some pellets, and I was happy.  I just love the feel of when horses eat from your hand, is that weird?

Then, out of the kindness of his heart, Bogie let us take Rowdy 'for a walk.'  It took me back to when I took this amazing Biology class back in Idaho, where for our field labs, we rode horses all day, every week. By far one of my best classes, ever.

Anyway, as we were walking around with Rowdy and Bogie's funny two dogs, Bogie offered to even let both of us ride Rowdy, BARE BACK.  Our first time ever.  It was a little scary at first, but fun.

Thanks Bogie, Thanks Rowdy.

By far one of the cutest and most precious proposals I've ever seen! I laughed. I teared up. Enjoy.

Play Ball

Several weeks ago we went to a spring training game for the Diamondbacks.

Well last night, we went to the real deal.  Nosebleed section, hot dog, laughed at people on the jumbotron, the whole thing. It was a warm (hot?) evening, and we were grateful that the sun was not beating down on us.

We were part of the losers who left early because we were tired  wanted to beat the traffic, and later found out we lost 7-8 to the LA Dodgers.  We were doing so well too!  Oh well.

'Baby, just say Yes.'

I just remembered tonight that three years ago today, my romantic husband proposed to me on a beach in Hawaii.

What a great coincidence that this morning, I said to Wolfgang, "My ring looks really sparkley today."

I'm glad we found each other on that beautiful island.

Trying to see the eclipse- I think I missed it. They said that it was going to be best seen in my little ol' hometown.
I didn't have "special glasses" to look at it, I figured sunglasses were sufficient. Don't worry mom, I didn't stare.

90

Today is my Grandpa's 90th birthday!

This past weekend we celebrated it in Vegas where he lives with my aunt.

My aunt and mom put together a book for his birthday, full of love notes and memories of my Grandpa from family members and friends.  He is such a good man that is loved by many; I loved hearing the kind words and funny stories about him over the years.

Love you Grandpa!  Happy Birthday.

I'm bored.

Tonight, I'm bored but still somewhat content. And when I'm bored, sometimes I youtube random crap.

Let me also start this by saying that I am known to sometimes get sucked into reality shows, which is kinda shameful but whatever. Judge me! :)

Currently I am in love with The Voice.  The first season I wasn't sold on, but the second season, I'm all over it.  I'm currently obsessed with Chris Mann, "The Opera Guy", so I was youtubing him.

I came across one of his performances, which is a rendition of "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and I've watched is several times now within the last hour. I LOVE it.

I know, I'm a loser.

But the funny thing about it, is A. Quite honestly, I'm not totally fond of the original of this song (Sorry S&G!) and B. In the past, I was also (and still am) obsessed with Clay Aiken's version of it too, from when he was on American Idol back in the day. I think part of the whole experience is watching their emotion and energy they put into the music as well.

What is it with me, "Bridge" song, and reality shows?  Not quite sure.  But literally, when I watch the performances on youtube, I can't just watch it once.  I also sometimes tear up a little.

Ok, it's time to close this nerdy post, but first of course, I'll share the links here so you can listen and be the judge too, and I'd love to hear what you have to say about it.  But if you hate them, be easy on my home boys.

Here is Chris Mann's version of the song
(Sorry, the audio is slightly weird for this one)

And here's Clay Aiken's version.    Do you have a favorite?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch Chris Mann's version about 5 Bazillion more times.

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo by eating my left over burrito from two nights ago. Ay Ay!
