Does "too sweet" exist?

...I didn't think it did, but making these Cookie Dough Truffles yesterday proved me wrong. They are good, but extremely sugary and rich. I'm going to have to get rid of most of them at work or something.

I guess I'll just go back to eating a few spoon fulls of raw cookie dough while making cookies.

On a healthy side note, today I've eaten healthy and enjoyed it. A part of that included tonight, I had some cut up baked yams with olive oil and some cinnamon. Mmmm.

Starting over and 90s songs.

Remember when I started this challenge? Well, yeah, I failed. I got to the middle of 4 weeks, and either A. would forget to do it B. not want to do it when I remembered it.

So, I'm going to brush myself off and try again {enter 90s hip -hop song here}, but this time I'm going to try the Squat Challenge instead. I get bored easily with things, especially when it comes to fitness so I wanted to try something different. Maybe I'll go back to the push ups, but for now I'm happy with this.

I can do it, if I put my back into it.

Well, in this respect, I guess you can say I'm a man then, because my co-workers definitely won me over today.

I'm easy to please.

Parks and Recreation

One of our favorite shows right now, is Parks and Recreation. The first time I saw an episode or two a couple of years ago, I wasn't sold. Now, it has be laughing out loud just about, if not every episode.

Well, tonight I'm vegging and decluttering my mind while waiting for when I have to pick up Wolfgang from work. So what am I doing? Watching Parks and Rec bloopers on youtube, and laughing by myself.

Sometimes, I have this unrealistic idea that I would be completely content with my life, if I were an actress in a comedy TV show. They just look like they have way too much fun all the time.

Festered Wound.

Guess what bored Jaimie does? Goes back to every blog post and adds tags to them. I have a couple hundred left to do. Why didn't I think of tagging earlier? Oh well.

P.S., I came across some of my depressing blog posts about when google deleted all of my pictures on my blog (through google plus).

If anyone can figure out how I can get all of those pictures back on instead of the black pictures of death, I will personally send you $20. And your favorite candy bar too, if you'd like.

In for the long run.

In my last post I mentioned my excitement in reading The Origin of Species by Darwin. I also mentioned that, "...It's quite a thick book..."

What I meant to say that it is a REALLY thick book.

913 pages.

Although It does also include the book, The Voyage of the Beagle.

Two in a row

I apologize for the last post that was pretty sappy... I guess that's what happens when I leave my blog open.

I've had two days off in a row this week, which is pretty great.

I think I like my new job, but it's just been kinda overwhelming and I was so happy to have days off, I almost cried. Literally. Don't be alarmed, I just get overwhelmed easily with new jobs. But that could be a whole different blog post, that no one would enjoy reading.

Yesterday I was able to catch up with a dear friend of mine I've known for most of my life over lunch at Cafe Zupas {have I blogged about Zupas before? I can't remember. but I love it.} and did other random things.

Today I went to go pick up my library book that I had placed a hold on {Mere Christianity- C.S. Lewis} but it wasn't quite ready yet and somewhere floating around the 5 story library. I tried to beat the system and just get it from the shelf, but it was already gone. So, instead I got Miracles by C.S. Lews, and another of which I'm pretty excited about, because I've been wanting to read it for years now: The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. It's quite a thick book, but I'm ready for it. It'll probably take me about a year to read it, if I'm interested enough in finishing it.

I use an app from Goodreads which helps me to keep track of books I want to read. There is also another website I found through Pinterest that I want to take advantage of, which is What Should I Read Next? You type in a book you've read and enjoyed, and it gives a list of suggestions of other books you might like. awesome.

I'm also finishing a small "project" (more like a paint job) today finally, so I'll soon be sharing pictures of the before and after.

and many more reasons that I don't feel comfortable writing about on her blog ;) haha, now I'm the funny one!

Anyway, 2012 is going to be one heck of a year! It is going to be the best year yet, cause I have the one and only Jaimie. I just L.O.V.E. her!

A good start

Call me pessimistic, but I'm actually quite glad that 2011 is done and gone for good. The year wasn't exactly down right horrible, it just wasn't one of the better ones that I have experienced. With that said, I'm glad to say that this new year of 2012 has been a good one so far. One notable happening, is that Wolfgang just got his first promotion, and today I started a new {and better paying} job! We are both working at our same hotels, just a promotion and I transfered departments. This is a very good change for the both of us, and we look forward to seeing what happens in the future.

Yesterday we also got back from a quick trip to Vegas. We were able to enjoy the brief company of family and friends of whom I hadn't seen (and in Wolfgang's case, never met) in several years. Reuniting with people I love has got to be one of my favorite things to do. It reminds me of the great people I am blessed with in my life.

I hope that 2012 brings many great things to you all!
