Jaimie's dicitionary defines...

"Cat in heat"(kat en hEEt)-
Definition: a horny and extremely obnoxious animal, who once was cute, little, and furry. This out-of-control creature tends to wake up anyone within close proximity during the night with its (seemed to be) never-ending irritating moans and howls. Somehow during this "in heat" phase, it is invisible, and cannot be found to be nicely kicked or given a nice bath with the water hose. If you find yourself in such a situation, consider the following:
1. yell, "SHUT UUUUPP!!!!"
2. If found, shut it up yourself.
3. SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR ANIMAL, DANG IT.
4. if all else fails, take matters into your own hands and spay or neuter psychotic feline yourself.

enough said.

Always listen to what your momma has to say

Today I enjoyed the beach a little too much today; I got burnt. Face, shoulder (yes, just one side, lovely how that works), upper legs, the whole bit. When I get sun burns they usually turn into a tan the next day, so hopefully that is the case this time around. I usually always wear sunscreen, but today it wasn't too hot so I thought I could get away with it, but I was wrong! I guess this once again proves that mom always IS right. I hate when that happens.

The addiction

Since it is, indeed, a new year and all and that's when you are suppose to make goals and changes in your life, Wolfgang and I decided to make our own goal for the week this past Tuesday.

We would both admit that we have a horrible addiction to Subway. Something about that toasted Italian BMT on honey oat bread just makes us weak in the knees. Even though our addiction could be a lot worse, it still sneakily makes its mark in our little money supply. So, for the next week, we are saying "No" to Subway, and to all eating out. On that note, we are also on a no soda kick. Even though it is only for a week as well, I think we can go for longer. Maybe a month? So far so good, although technically our no subway/soda was suppose to start on Monday, but we caved and so it was officially started on Tuesday. The next goal is to start exercising regularly... which has never been a strength for me, and the only time it ever was, was when I was running around with a drum harnessed on me, so this will be interesting, but I know the results will be great. (I'll keep you posted). Reading my friend's blog and her hard work with her new year's resolutions have inspired me, and I know that I just need to "git 'er done!"

wasting time

So, I just got a new background for my blog, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I'm typically not a pink girl, at all, but I liked this one. Tell me what you think, honestly. I can count on my family for this one...(jess and mom)

Christmas vacation recap

Now that I am officially back in Hawaii and the Christmas vacation is over, it's time to give a very brief and shallow recap of what happened during my break. It included,

Decorating the house in my mom's cute Christmas decorations (she LOVES them snowmen, they had their own room in the house, the family room)

Making fun little snacks for some co-workers for my dad

my mom just maybe still has some Aloha spirit lingering from the trip...

Enjoying Christmas day with the family, (sorry no pictures, but just trust me that it was a good one, after Jessie and Dad made it home safe.)
lounging, sleeping, eating, and eating some more, and lounging some more, a little bit of painting...

Post-Christmas fun with Wolfgang in Vegas and for New Years and spending time with relatives who spoiled us,

We went on that NY, NY rollercoaster (above). I had to be the strong comforting one in the relationship at that moment...

Making REAL wienerschnitzel with Wolfgang at our house (mmm MMM!)
(Wolfgang was thoroughly disgusted to see that "wienerschnitzel" is the name of a hot dog joint in America...don't bring it up)

Like his shirt? I have good taste...

and insisting that Wolfgang get his "fate" at the Cameron Trading Post... let me know if you ever need a scorpion in a glass ball thing, or magnetic rocks, or kachina dolls, or, or....

Oh, and also while at home, I scored an awful haircut that has already been fixed once, but still looks like an awful haircut. Needless to say I've been keeping my hair in a ponytail for the last 2 or 3 days. Thank goodness my friend and now new roommate Janelle (the pro star) cuts hair really well and will get er done and really fix it. It's a shame that I have to completely chop it...all I wanted was a trim and a few layers in the first place!!!!

But needless to say, I had an absolute wonderful time being home. It was actually bitter-sweet to come back to Hawaii, but I have been blessed with much.
