Stay-cation
Last weekend my parents came to visit. We bribed then with an incredible deal for a really expensive hotel room at Wolfgang's work, and needless to say it worked.
The 'room' was huge. It had two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a private pool.
Let me clarify: Private Pool.
I was the lucky one to check-in/check it out before anyone else arrived {although Wolfgang had obviously seen it before} I felt like a little kid. I got lost at least for about 15 minutes, trying to find where all doors led to, opening connecting doors, etc.
We invited ourselves to stay there with them, but I'd like to think that they were ok with that {or so they pretended to be?} ;)
One of the best parts about it all, is when my parents arrived. They were completely blown away, and loved it. We all were saying how we wished we could live there.
Here are a few pictures of the place.

Best Stay-cation. EVER.
Very grateful for the abundant generosity of Wolfgang's boss.

Every once in a while, work will have a several "left over" plants and flowers that they dont want to use, so they let associates take them. A few months ago I adopted this plant, and as i went outside to water it today, I noticed it started to bloom something!
I just love watching my little orphan mature and grow. Good thing it's a sturdy one, b/c I forget to water it every few weeks.

V-Day
Wolfgang and I happened to have Valentine's Day off together (unplanned.) We had stated a few weeks before V-Day that we weren't going to do any gifts or anything extravagant, because we would rather spend the money on a future event that is still in the making.
But of course, my cute husband still insisted on getting me flowers (my favorite kind too)

We ended up deciding to have a little fun that day since we did both have it off from work after all.
We slept in and I made a late Valentine's Day breakfast (crepes of course)
Not to mention...4 years ago on V-Day, We had our first date! It also involved Nutella, so it only seemed appropriate.
We then did a lil bit of shopping (I scored a jacket/coat from H&M that used to be $60, that was only $10!) and browsed the "Groupon Now" deals of the area, and chose to use one at a little cafe and bakery and had a delightful lunch.
Just for the record, yesterday was also the first moment in my life (that I can remember) that I wish I knew how to sew. I found a really cute dress at my favorite store (BR) (I can only afford sales at their factory store, and now I'm about 99% convinced they too have different clothing lines for the real deal store vs. the outlet)that was only $17, and it was originally $160! The only problem, is that it was about 3 sizes too big. I'm glad Wolfgang was the voice of reason and persuaded me to not buy it, because he knew I would never actually do anything to it to make it actually work. But if I knew how to sew, I would have snatched it right up!
Sorry, this ended up really long.

Facial
The perks about working at a Spa, is that you get free or deeply discounted treatments.
This past thursday while at work, one of my "leads" asked, "have you received any treatments yet?" Me: "no." Her: "well, we need to get you in on them soon, so you know what you are talking about! (when 'selling' it to the guests)"
Next thing I know, I'm on the reservations system for two hours later. Yep- I got a facial for free ($162 value. I know, crazy expensive, right?) and pretty much got paid to get it too, because it was while I was clocked in at work!
And let me tell you, it was fantastic. It even came with a little foot and hand treatment as well. It was sooo relaxing. I had never had a facial before so I have nothing to compare it to, but regardless, it was very nice.
Supposedly, I have 3 more free treatments to partake of, at least one of them being a massage.
It didn't take much for me to be content with this job.

Fur Ball
Look at that little {big?} furry ball of cuteness. Doesn't that just make you want to have a groundhog of your own? DefinitelyWell, that cute little Punxsutawney Phil of ours 'told' us today that we will have another 6 weeks of winter.
Being a Phoenix resident, that's great news! We'll take the cooler weather as long as we can.
Something else great that happened, is that I pretty much got paid to get a facial at work today. I feel so relaxed even just saying those words.
More details on that later.
