Remember that long list of books I posted a few weeks ago? Well, I'm finally getting started on it. I've read most of one of them Three Cups of Tea, and now tonight, I'll be starting The Sunflower. Also, I've added another book to "the list" :

snorkel saturday

Nothing like going for a quick snorkel before going to work. It made me less bitter that I had to go in on my day off, 2 weeks in a row now (and scheduled for 6 days next week!)

I must say, Wolfgang and I are pretty excited to go home for the summer in August for 2 weeks; it's even to the point that we are already planning what we want to do
(note: also this will be during the time of our one year anniversary.)
Needless to say, we don't exactly want to be with parentals on that day, and my mom clearly started on the phone yesterday she doesn't want us around on that day anyway.

Sooo...the plan is to be in VEGAS for a couple of days. We have our eyes on some places we want to stay, but as of approximately 10 minutes ago, we officially have tickets to have a date with these guys:

Snorkel Season

It's that time of the year again, for...

SNORKELING!!

Wolfgang and I love to snorkel. Believe it or not, even though Hawaii has "perfect" weather year around, only the spring/summer/fall months are ideal for snorkeling, because otherwise the waves are too big, and it's too dangerous.

(Putting Hawaii and names of seasons in the same sentence is still weird to me, because it's not a huge difference)

With that said, we went on our first snorkeling adventure of the year, and it was great! Look what we first saw as soon as we put our masks under the water:

These I like to call "lost puppy" fish. Everytime we have snorkeled here, those fish follow us around and get SO close, it is funny, and also kinda creepy. This time they kinda swarmed us a little too much and freaked us out

To be blatantly honest, today was a very crappy day. I won't go into too many details, but my day today started with a co-worker calling me at 6:00am (my day off, mind you) and proceeding to call me 11 more times, and it ended with me being manipulated into going into work tonight.

Today, I have learned (re-learned) that I CANNOT be a push over. no. more.

On the brighter side of things, it was delightful to come home from work late tonight to be able to enjoy a delicious smoothie and watching The Office. It was a great episode, by the way.

Here is also my favorite words that came out of Wolfgang's mouth tonight:
"Did we turn down our freezer? I don't remember ice cream being that cold."

Oh, and one more good thing, The rooster hasn't been around lately! Hooray! I better not say that too loud though, I'll curse myself...

Oh Boy...

...just a little though. Our car is FINALLY (but slowly) becoming legal! yay! We officially are insured now as of just a few minutes, and I feel like I can relax a little bit more now. We've also got the safety check done, but we have to go back two more times with paperwork, proof of stuff...etc.etc. then we can FINALLY register it. It's been a terrible mess and nightmare for months now, and soon it will all be over with. Pictures and more details soon to come in the next couple days/week or so. Oh, and don't get too excited, it's nothing new, at all.

Long day

To be completely honest, work was close to terrible today; I really considered using some choice words against one of my "managers" and just leaving work.... But I decided to be the bigger person and stay.

Needless to say, it was great to see one of my (second) cousins and her husband (and a co-worker) tonight for a few brief hours, and to enjoy TED'S BAKERY with them.

Update on the Devil (Rooster)

he is GONE!

Well, I think so, and I really hope so.

The last several days, I have not heard him once.
Did he move on?
Did someone shoot him with a BB gun to slow him down, capture him. stuff him in the truck, and drive him 20 minutes away? (my idea)
Or maybe he just hasn't been liking all the rain we've been getting?

I don't know, but I'm glad he's gone, and I'm keeping my fingers
crossed that it stays that way.
