Yesterday we went on a great free walking tour in London, and the weather was surprisingly nice! Although we don't even mind the rain. This picture of "Big Ben" was taken while on the tour.
London is very busy, as they are getting close to the Olympics! Today we flew into Budapest, and will explore all day tomorrow, then back to Austria for brother-in-laws wedding! ( oh yeah! Thats why we came in the first place...wedding, right.)

The weather is PERFECT here and it's been great thus far. Tomorrow night we head to England!
Yesterday we visited Eisriesenwelt (google it, couldnt take pictures in it anyway) and that was incredible.
More later!

Home Alone
He'll be there until tomorrow night, so needless to say I'm home alone, and yes slightly lonely. I really wanted to go with him to the other side of the country, but it was last minute and too expensive, and all of his expenses were taken care of.
I am pretty jealous that he made it to out east before I ever have. What the heck?!? This is my motherland and he still beat me. Not. Cool.
But instead, I was super, incredibly lazy today and I don't even feel bad about it.
Now that it's bedtime, I think I might need one of these...

So far I've celebrated by getting paid double time at work today, and enjoying the AWESOME weather here in phx today! I believe this might be the first time it had rained so far this year (no exaggeration needed). Phoenicians everywhere are rejoicing.
Although Wolfgang works tonight ( Make the European work 4th of July?) I will still uphold my family tradition of eating Red Vines for this holiday. If I'm lucky I hope to catch some fireworks from my balcony.
God bless America!

A little all over the place
-I use to hate Europeans {all the stereotypes were quite accurate, in my opinion at the time while growing up, as I catered to them in my summer jobs back home} but then I fell in love and married one.
-I use to say that I hated Phoenix and would never live there {here}, but here I am and it's not too bad.
-I use to say that I never again wanted to work in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, but now I work for Marriott and actually like my job {generally speaking}.
All of these experiences have humbled me and helped me to realize that life doesn't really always go the way you planned it, but it still turns out just fine in many ways.
Lately I've been thinking, more specifically, about the future. What has consumed my thoughts have obviously been the fact that we will be in Europe in less than two weeks. But also of where life is going to take us next.
Wolfgang is willing and more than ready to take the next step up in his career path, and is taking the steps to make it happen. We all know that it's a process to move forward in the job market, but he is hopeful that something will come up relatively soon.
This has led to several job interviews in the last few days. Some prospects are close {few miles away} while others are not-so-close {think other side of the country}. Thinking about this gets me both really excited, and somewhat stressed, but somehow amongst all that, this is what popped into my head the other day:
I've come to love that Dr. Seuss.
Isn't it incredible sometimes just to think where life can, and is going to take you next? Try not to hyperventilate thinking about it {or is that just me?}. I am grateful to live in a nation where I am free to chose what I want to do with my life and what direction to go, and for a husband and companion who takes full advantage of that.
