Tomorrow I have a hair appt, and these are just some of my inspirations/ideas/whatever of what I want to show my stylist. Never mind they are all different...I get slightly crazed right before a hair appt.

I just love getting my hair cut, and for my short hair, it is very much over due.

Before and After

Today I'm doing a little bit of spring summer cleaning in my closet.

I came across some old jeans that I'm not particularly attached to, and remembered that A. it's bloody hot outside {I need to work on my England English slang, although that phrase is considered much worse than as we Americans use it}   and B. I've been wanting another pair of jean shorts.

So....

I cut up a pair of jeans.  I'm hoping they aren't too Mormon mom status.  But, what do you do?

I apologize for the "mirror" picture. I personally find mirror pictures to be ultra ghetto and weird, but it was the easiest way of doing this. At least I'm not making a duck face or in an awkward position, so there.

Big Kid

 Sometimes being a "responsible adult" sucks. I go day-to-day and sometimes forget that I have to take care of important and necessary things, like any other adult.

Recently we have been taking care of car issues, doctor appts, and dentist appts.  I feel like sometimes it's a slap in the face, or a hard "kick in the pants" as my mom would say.

Although my first reaction is to engage in self pity and anger, it does cause me to be grateful for two things:

1. Employment with good insurance
2. My parents who had (have) insurance while I was growing up, and used it to my great advantage, plus pretty pennies of their own on many occasions.  Thanks Mom and Dad! 

Now if you'll excuse me, as I go and read up on DIY home dentistry.

A few recipes

A couple of posts ago I mentioned I was going to make the Lemon Brownies and I actually did! {AND shared them at work!}  be proud.  They turned out good, although they get very moist fast, a little too moist for my liking, but still good.

I also tried three other recipes in the las few days. Two of which ended up being recipes that were kinda a pain in the butt, but they turned out good as well.  They were Creamy Avocado Pasta {a pain to do with a blender and not a food processor} and Nutella & Sea Salt Stuffed Sugar Cookie which we are still eating.  The thing about the cookies, is that it took FOR.E.VER to prepare! Or at least more than I ever prepare to make/bake something.  Because nutella melts fast, I had to keep putting them in the freezer.  I also didn't use sea salt, cause I don't have it.

The third recipe was Weight Watchers Crock Pot Santa Fe Chicken.  Super easy and delicious.  I just love crock pots.

I'm in need of some comfort food after a doctor's appt {don't worry, I'm fine! As in the real fine, not fake fine and I'm dying next week} so I decided to have this. Have you ever had the roasted raspbery chipotle sauce from Costco? It's delicious. Add some crackers and cream cheese, and I'm a happy girl.

Thought it was feeling a little hot in our apartment today... And quickly found out that our A\C unit wasn't working. That = a REALLY bad thing in the summer in AZ. Needless to say we are in a hotel room tonight, which is free so we're ok with it. 

To be fixed early tomorrow morning!  It could be worse, like the whole electricity going out {knock on wood}

It's about time that I actually cook/bake some things again that I 'pin' on Pinterest.

Tonight, I'm vowing that I'll make these 'Lemon Brownies' {I'm a lover of all things lemon}
and I also vow that I will bring some into work tomorrow, that way I won't eat them all.

I figure if I state this on my blog I have to do it then, right?

I'll let you know how they turn out.
